Why a Dedicated Handhelds Lane

Handhelds have moved from niche to mainstream fast. Steam Deck, ROG Ally, MSI Claw, Legion Go, and the next wave of devices all sit in different price brackets and target different play styles. A single all-rounder review doesn't do that landscape justice anymore.

What We Plan to Cover

Over the coming months Gaming Gear Lab will publish hands-on coverage of the handhelds we get into the lab. We'll keep testing consistent so devices can be compared directly: battery under matched workloads, thermals during longer sessions, ergonomics across hand sizes, and how each one handles real-world libraries.
